Are you looking to distinguish Enterobacteriaceae from other gram(-) bacteria or grab species within Enterobacteriaceae? The bold question seems to ask the former, the table seems to ask the later. –  Atl LED Feb 20 at 19:08

@AtlLED I think things have changed much from that time. I saw very clear diagram how to do this analysis. The answer can be summarised in one short figure. However, I do not remember how it went. I think it started with glucose fermentation. –  Masi Feb 20 at 20:05

I suppose the modified Hodge test and sensitabs have made things a lot easier. I'll see if I can't find the write up in our protocol book. –  Atl LED Feb 20 at 20:19
