Biology Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for biology researchers, academics, and students. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I am a college students brainstorming ideas on different topics that may be appropriate for on-campus research. What I came up with and I would like to give it a try is analyze the different types of bacteria and organisms found on computer keyboards. Furthermore, I would like to test this against different cleaning products and asses whether they have any effect on killing the germs.

I was wondering if anyone could direct me towards great biological journals or articles/website that I could use to develop more ideas.

Thank you

What is your level of experience in biology, especially in the lab? And what kind of equipment do you have available? –  Chris Mar 15 at 19:42

I am junior currently taking cell biology. The equipment may be proposed, other students were able to request grants in order to cover the cost of the equipment. Our lab is small but it holds the basic tools, we just got a new PCR machine –  Laura Mar 15 at 20:25
