Looking for a popular science book on the topic. I need a wide-angle expose, not fiddling with minor details. It should also be somehow intertwined with migration. I've recently learned, for example, that Slavic peoples share R1a haplogroup with peoples living in India. How did that happen, when? That sort of thing...

Now I've looked on Amazon, but there are so many with good reviews that I simply can't choose.

Minor detail: I'm a mathematician myself and quite versed in microbiology, so I wouldn't mind if it was on a hardcore side of popular science.

Thanks a lot!
