I am looking for some mechanism which can decrease the amount of proteins in the lymphatic drainage only for short term. Assume there is no flow between capillaries and lymphatic system because the colloid osmotic pressures between two sides is the same (Starling's law).
By showering the patient, we can stimulate the skin of the patient and boosts little the lymphatic circulation. This is my idea where I would like to have some stimulant that can boosts the lymphatic circulation when it just starts - and only for short term. I have an intuition that to decrease the amount of proteins in the lymphatic drainage is the goal and let the body itself clean the system.
Heart pumps and sucks. Some mechanisms would be to
- increase preload and the heart rate of the patient
- decrease afterload by affecting the aortic arch elasticity for short term
However, some immunological mechanisms may exist too. Some ideas depending on the patient
- to decrease the hypersensitivity of the patient - for instance, inhibit leukotriene synthesis for short term - however may have negative effect in cleaning the system. Mostly affects the formation of new proteins (DNA of lysed lymphocytes) into the system - apparently mostly only in allergic and asthmatic patients. So the effect is probably only long-term and not within 15 minutes. So reject.
