I wonder if you could suggest an accessible review article for best practices in computational systems modelling. Specifically, I would like to try to model a cellular signalling network that would (ideally) involve chemical species in a few cell compartments (mitochondria, cytoplasm, Golgi). I am not familiar enough with which journals in the field are credible or worth reading other than PLoS so I turn to the experts. I am not afraid of discussion of PDE's, but if the review is written in mind for graduate students, that would be best.

There are either too many possible answers, or good answers would be too long for this format. Please add details to narrow the answer set or to isolate an issue that can be answered in a few paragraphs. If this question can be reworded to fit the rules in the help center, please edit the question.

I was about to refer you to this question when I saw that you were the one asking it! Can't think of a review off the top of my head but MSB is a good place to check: msb.embopress.org/search/…. –  terdon Jul 5 at 12:28
