I ask this because I've read that while pentazocine is approved by the FDA for the treatment of labour pain, epidural administration is not listed as one of its means of administration (which thing I read in Micromedex in case you want to question the reliability of my sources).

What is the mechanism of action of this drug? –  CHM Apr 21 '13 at 3:00

This question is about general drugs. If you're asking about pentazocine it is a predominantly kappa opioid. –  Brenton Horne Apr 21 '13 at 12:05
