I ask this question because I've looked everywhere I can think of and not one mention of this even though it definitely makes sense based on the finding that antidepressants increase brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expression in the CNS and since Alzheimer's disease (AD) results in cortical and hippocampal degeneration which is precisely where BDNF elicits the bulk of its neurotrophic effects I theorised that it might slow the progression of AD.
