I had my DNA tested by 23andme.com. They give me a very long string for my DNA. How do I determine which of the three Ethiopian valleys I descended from? I'm of European descent.

Does 23andme sequence the whole DNA? I thought they were only looking for specific SNPs. Anyway, maybe this can answer part of your questions customercare.23andme.com/forums/20881310-Maternal-Paternal-Line –  nico Aug 12 '13 at 10:44

I take it you logged into the 23andme site and looked at your data there?

They have a pretty good geographical plot of where you came from.

Are you looking for more detail than that? You might try the National Geographic Genographic Project.
