Why is it sometimes difficult to resuspend E. coli in P1? @carandraug I also use those. I leave the caps loose and I notice that sometimes the shaker causes them to screw on quite tightly. Even though they seem to grow well (the culture is very cloudy and I get a decent size pellet) I was wondering whether it made them switch completely to anaerobic respiration and cause this gummy pellet somehow. Just a thought. |

Why is it sometimes difficult to resuspend E. coli in P1? I'd have to measure next time. What would you consider excessive? |

Why is it sometimes difficult to resuspend E. coli in P1? I don't think that the pellets are darker, but I've noticed that sometimes the shaker causes my tubes to screw themselves. Could it be because they don't get enough air? |

Why is it sometimes difficult to resuspend E. coli in P1? Yes, I do that too. In the situations I'm talking about, rather than slowly breaking up into a cloud, the pellet will unstick as a whole from the bottom of the tube and clog the tip. |

Why is it sometimes difficult to resuspend E. coli in P1? Straight from 16h culture. |
