What gives observable light its colors? Our eyes detect light waves of different wavelengths, which we then perceive using our brain as colour. |

What gives observable light its colors? Basically cone-cells in the eye detect colours and consequently send an impulse to the brain. |

What gives observable light its colors? This is not a physics question, but a biology question. Please ask on biology.se instead. |

What causes humans to be sleepy? No the first one didn't either. Even just vaxa.com gives the error "403 - Forbidden: Access is denied." |

What causes humans to be sleepy? Thanks rg255. Unfortunately the link "This page" in the last sentence is inaccessible. Also, during my own research today I found something on "adenosine" influencing sleepiness but found the article hard to understand. Do you know what triggers adensine build up, which apparently causes sleepiness? |

What triggers creative thought in humans? @rwst, innovative people would have been more likely to live longer than those who couldn't invent things. Tribes that could invent tools and weapons would surely outlive tribes that could only use their bare hands to catch food. |

Is eating salt dangerous for the brain? Eating salt raises blood pressure that is true. Increased blood pressure is a risk factor in a variety of diseases. Sodium however is also essential in the diet, as sodium and potassium are the key elements involved in generating action potentials in neurons. |

Why have humans evolved conciousness? Its my self awareness that allows me to be aware of my feelings. If I had no self-awareness, there would be no "I" who is the subjective observer of my body. But I am "I", the subjective observer of my body. The fact I feel the emotions attributed to a specific body, my one, illustrates to me my own consciousness, so my feelings do prove that I am self aware, but to myself only. I know I am self-aware, but I don't know if you are, or anyone else, and I can't prove that I am to anyone, as noone else can experience my experiences. |
