Determining if a Protein Model Contains a Backbone Clash I am assuming that the variables a and b represent atomic radii of the two respective atoms. So a_x is the atomic radii of a * the x co-ordinate? Wont this equation return an error if I try to square root a -ve number? To determine a steric clash I add the radii of atoms a and b and if this value is greater than the value from the equation I have a clash? |

Calculating Protein Concentration from Kilo Units (KU) After some serious thinking it is possible to calculate the mg. On the website it states there is 350-600 units/mg protein. So if I bought the 1KU to work out the mg and assuming I receive 600 units I would divide 600/1000 = 0.6 mg. I completely missed the obvious here. |
