comment How to convert nanogram to picomole?
Do you want the the concentration or the pc/ul? Also what is the mass of your RNA?

comment Mass change in deamidation from Glutamine to Glutamate
I do alot of ESI mass spec, so i might be able to help. Alot of my work is on native MS. Are you looking at the whole protein in the mass spec or a peptide fragment?

comment Determining if a Protein Model Contains a Backbone Clash
I am assuming that the variables a and b represent atomic radii of the two respective atoms. So a_x is the atomic radii of a * the x co-ordinate? Wont this equation return an error if I try to square root a -ve number? To determine a steric clash I add the radii of atoms a and b and if this value is greater than the value from the equation I have a clash?

Do you mean size in 3D space or mass?

comment Calculating Protein Concentration from Kilo Units (KU)
After some serious thinking it is possible to calculate the mg. On the website it states there is 350-600 units/mg protein. So if I bought the 1KU to work out the mg and assuming I receive 600 units I would divide 600/1000 = 0.6 mg. I completely missed the obvious here.

What about in the paper I referenced? They calculated the concentration of calmodulin to be approximately 75um.
