Agree with Chinmay, but I'll give time for your call for corrections/objections/views.

comment Is the eyes' movement discrete?
I assume the advantages of smooth pursuit and saccadic movement are that the image is continuous (so no information is lost) and that the angular speed is large, respectively, or am I oversimplifying?

@ChinmayKanchi I'd be happy to accept that if you post that as an answer I (perhaps with an extra link).

comment Why does the cold make us sick?
Generally, I presume it is caused by a decrease the enzymes in the body's rate of activity, causing slowing of vital bodily functions like the immune system. There are probably a plethora of specifics to add to this.

comment How does the body measure dehydration?
How do osmoreceptors work? That is, how and by what is the 'swollenness' of the osmoreceptors measured, and how does this turn into an electrical signal?

Acid (not ammonia on the basis that it doesn't smell like cat urine).

@nico It's an 'apex researcher' microscope. For lighting it's a small lamp mounted underneath the slide hole and lens. I don't know what's the standard for microscopes so I can't really comment if it's anything out of the ordinary.
