comment How can you test what color different people perceive?
I wonder why many people ask themselves "is another guys perception of color X same or different than mine" but nobody is wondering "is mine perception of 440Hz sound same or different than other guy perception of 440Hz sound". Why ? Why color perception seems fundamentally different than sound perception ? Behcause one can reproduce the sound one hears, back ? But then you can give him set of color pencils and he can reproduce the color he sees, back. If "reproduction" test works, then it CONFIRMS what person is REALLY SEEING, no ?

comment Are humans hardwired to continue gathering resources after the costs outweigh the benefits?
It's called "addiction", or "obsessive-compulsive behaviour". Unfortunately not every behaviour is explained by rational calculation.

comment What's the maximum and minimum temperature a human can survive?
@Bugster, are you asking about ambient temperatures surrounding the human, or the internal body temperature ? The way you formulated the question, it sounds like you are asking about ambient temperature.

comment Is better healthcare a bane to the long-term survival of the human race?
First, healthcare after reproductive age should not affect the survival of the humans as species. Second, if healthcare is here to stay, not just some temporary episode, then even healthcare for those under reproductive age shall not harm survival of humans, no more than knives and fire would harm survival. Think of healthcare as another tool like fire and knives and there should be no reason it would harm the survival.

comment Can species back-evolve?
@Konrad, I have a feeling that humans, with their speech, math, physics, and understanding of molecular biology, are more sophisticated than dogs and cats. Humans and their associated technologies evolved and developed together, you cannot take technologies away from human development. It is a subtle nuance that part of those human sophistications lies outside of its biology. But it is sophistication nonthe less; and I have to repeat, you cannot take technologies away from human nature, it is part of us. Sophistication way above level of other mammals is present: can other mammals get QM ?

comment How can an albatross stay airborne for months?
Albatrosses drink seawater; without this ability they could not be sea-bound for long periods of time. Regarding sleeping in the flight, I find this article convincing onlinemathlearning.com/animalfacts-albatross.html

comment What causes the characteristic 'gleam' in the eye of a living being?
I think this is good question. The mysterious part is that sexy, energetic people seem to have special "gleam", while those lacking enegy do not have. Is it hormonal-related ? I am pretty sure nobody did research on this.

I think carrot keeps long time in refrigerator. Why store it at room temp when optimal storing condition is refrigerator ?
