Thanks for your answer. I like the idea of adding additional T7 promoter, although having repetitive sequences might lead to other future problems (I don't want to go into details). But I work with genes which are 3 times larger in size and one promoter for the 2 subunits works well. Perhaps it is very sequence specific.
