Is sperm contagious? @KonradRudolph: Also, sperm can't reproduce without invading, and interfering with the genomes of other human cells. So perhaps they could be classified as some kind of ultra complex virus? |

Do insects' muscles become stronger with exercise? Would be interested to know how you might "see" one get stronger. As is the case with most wild animals, generally existing (scavenging, hunting, browsing, etc) requires exercise, and barring illness or old age, most animals are likely to be fit, but not fitter than necessary - building muscles becomes a waste of time after a certain point. |

Why does so much variation exist within species? Agreed, acne is a phenotype, not a genotype. Also it's possible that, in some cases, acne is an effect of Antagonistic pleiotropy, and as such, would have no need to occupy any particular acne-related niche to propagate well.. |
