The diameter of afferent arteriole is greater than the diameter of efferent arteriole. This arrangement makes the glomerular blood pressure much higher than the capillary bed which facilitates filtration.

The obvious question that arises is the diameter of glomerulus is much smaller than both the efferent and afferent arteriole. So, why don't we mention glomerulus in the reason?
