I am looking at information about a protein called CD83 antigen on UniProt. On the page for the protein, in the 'Family & Domains' section, it says that between amino acids 60-81, the region is 'disordered'. I was wondering, in the context of protein domains, what is meant by the term 'disordered'? Any insights are appreciated.

$\begingroup$ Please remember that you are required to do some research before posting. Googling for "disordered regions of proteins" brings up a host of reviews, and although many require library access, there is a Wikipedia article on the topic. I think you will obtain insights there. $\endgroup$
