I've been searching around about when someone would use luria broth over terrific broth. But it seems that terrific broth is just better? Yet people still use LB, so I must be missing something.

$\begingroup$ In my experience, LB is superior for plasmid production (and I've talked with others who have had similar experiences). But more than that, scientists tend to be kind of lazy. If I have LB on hand that's already made, I'll probably start with that. And if it works well enough to get the job done, why mess with success? $\endgroup$– MikeyCMay 31 at 16:23
