What species of mollusc shell is this? Found this on the east coast of India, RK Beach, Vishakhapatnam Small enough to fit in a hand. Looks like a flower - is it a broken shell?

1$\begingroup$ Almost certainly partial, you are looking along the internal spiral of something like a volute or similar family. Which one would need further photos of the outside of the shell $\endgroup$– bob1Jul 30 at 9:03
