$\begingroup$ Can you be more specific? Are you arguing that sporopollenin has some property that prevents any degradation over any time period? Recall that DNA phosphodiester bonds will fall apart over time even under ideal preservation conditions! $\endgroup$– Maximilian PressJan 19 at 20:16
