Please note for ID we usually need photos as discussed in this Meta post. Descriptors of size, shape etc. all play a big role in ID too. Often bright colours are warning colours - meaning "touch me and you might get hurt", but not always. $\endgroup$

  • $\begingroup$ "black and orange" and fuzzy", when applied to a spider, suggests one of the big Jumping Spiders in the Phidippus group. Of course, if it isn't a spider, there is always the chance that it might be a wingless wasp (if such are found in the Mojave). A photo would really help! $\endgroup$ Oct 16 at 23:27
