In one book I read that pteranodons lived in huge colonies. But pteranodon's family in "Dinosaur Train" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinosaur_Train ) does not seem to be a part of any colony. So, who is right? Did pteranodons live in colonies?

  • $\begingroup$ The show's Wikipedia page says it takes place in a "whimsical prehistoric world", so I'm not sure how historically accurate it is supposed to be... $\endgroup$ – Luigi May 10 '15 at 15:43

  • $\begingroup$ By "Pteranodon" do you mean pterosaurs as a whole or specifically the genus Pteranodon? $\endgroup$ – kmm May 11 '15 at 15:52
  • $\begingroup$ I mean specifically the genus Pteranodon, because those characters from the "Dinosaur train" are pteranodons. $\endgroup$ – user983447 May 12 '15 at 7:33
  • $\begingroup$ What book did you read? If the question is only based on e.g. a scifi novel and a children's TV show, there would be little reason to believe that any of them is accurate. $\endgroup$ – fileunderwater May 13 '15 at 11:47
