In case of prokaryotes, the ori site have a definite nucleotide sequence. Each ori site have 5 9base-pair consensus sequences and 4 non-consensus sequences. DNAa binds to both types of sequences with different affinity. Does, it mean DNAa and thus the PRC form only on a portion of one strand and not on the complementary portion on the next strand?

Does PRC sit only on one strand and not on the other?

What about in eukaryotes?
