I've done a lot o research about this matter but I could not find anything relevant. So I'm doing a Computer Science project where, using AI and Computer Graphics, we try to predict the growth and aging of lichens on a stone, and at this moment I need some "academic validation", so is there any way like a formula or something that tells me how lichens evolve and grow on stones? Thank you so much!
This image shows what I've accomplished:
In real Life:
So is it possible to predict how are they going to spread along the stone in a period of time? Do they start by growing in small colonies and then tend to get together to create a bigger colony? I don't know if this makes any sense, anyway thank you for your patience!
