Don’t the substances transported by the carrier protein against the concentration gradient diffuse through channel protein to again maintain the same concentration across the cell membrane?

I mean , what's the point of transporting substances against the concentration by carrier protein if the substances ( that will now have a concentration gradient accros a membrane) tend to diffuse through channel proteins easily along the concentration gradient after the transportation is done ?
