In plants, organelles DNA inside chloroplasts and mitochondrias can undergo recombination, intra- or inter-molecular. In a single cell, there are numerous chloroplasts/mitochondria. Can we imagine recombination between DNA of distincts chloroplasts/mitochondria ? By adding a intermediary step of chloroplasts fusion for example.
