I know that with fleas, they tend to lay their eggs on the host and the eggs fall off into bedding areas, so the bedding areas are sort of the epicenter of a flea infestation.

Is it the same with deer ticks? Are they primarily active in the areas where the deer bed down for the night?

  • $\begingroup$ In winter, deer are less bothered by ticks. Some sources suggest that in the summer, deer change bedding to keep away from bugs, especially bucks. $\endgroup$ – com.prehensible Apr 22 at 9:40
