For my specific case, I would like to know what plasmid to use to express two particular proteins (one of them being the GFP reporter) with its specific promoters.

But more important than the answer to my current problem, for me, its to know how to choose precisely from the massive list of plasmids available when making a protocol. Is there any plasmid that is the “Gold Standard” for protein expression in E.coli?

  • $\begingroup$ Welcome to Biology.SE! I think if you can focus your question and provide some more detail you are more likely to get a useful answer. For example, what is the first protein and is the GFP fused to the first protein or expressed from a separate promoter? If the later, how is it acting as a reporter? ——— Please also take the time to go through the tour and then the help pages starting with How to Ask questions effectively on this site. Thanks! 😊 $\endgroup$ – tyersome Aug 18 '19 at 0:01
