I was looking at the nutrition of mushrooms. It turns out they're pretty low on nutrients, especially macronutrients, because they're mostly made of chitin. But if we can take lactase pills to help digest lactose, why can't we take chitinase to help digest mushrooms?

  • $\begingroup$ @David I looked at the tour, how does it help? Doesn't understanding how enzymes help digestion and nutrition fall under biology? Also, anyway I was not the one who moved the post here 🤷‍♂️ $\endgroup$ – personjerry Oct 11 at 8:03
  • $\begingroup$ "Focus on questions about an actual problem you have faced." "Not all questions work well in our format. Avoid questions that are primarily opinion-based, or that are likely to generate discussion rather than answers." OK, it's not your fault it was moved here, but is it really a good question for any objective question and answer site rather than a discussion site? $\endgroup$ – David Oct 11 at 10:37
