I can't understand why is there a need of 2 photosystems (2 interconnected pigment systems) to explain Emerson's enhancement. Could'nt it be possible that a single photosystem might have had a range from 660nm to 680nm where max absorption may take place. Please explain this inference. Can you also share some data(quantum yield) near the blue region.
