In a typical cell in the human body, is the intracellular fluid typically hyper- or hypoosmotic to the extracellular fluid, e.g., is the osmolality of cytoplasm higher or lower than that on the outside of the cell membrane? Note, there is obviously osmotic equilibrium across the membrane, but that does not imply that the osmolality is exactly equal.
