A few years ago we accidentaly throw several unusable parts of chantarelles picked up in woods near our apricot tree and one year after there was an explosion of chantarelles cibarius in our garden but only around the apricot tree. We used to eat these mushrooms several years until the apricot sudenly died. The chantarelle mushroom had gone along with the apricot tree. Question, how and why chantarelles lived in our garden?...Was there a mycoritic link between chantarelles and the apricot tree?
