I'm a little bit (or a lot!) confused that how has the fibrous skeleton contributed to the structure of the heart valves? Since the fibrous skeleton takes part in the cardiac muscle, how does it help the valves? does the fibrous skeleton take part in the valve structure and make a layer for itself??
