I guess my question is very basic as I do not understand the explanation of Myopia and Hyperopia. In Myopia the lens is bending the light too much even in the most relaxed state. Thus the image is produced in front of the retina. This sounds sane. If the object comes closer the lens just adjusts a bit less than a healthily eye and Myopia patient is able to see clearly. Why is the Hyperopia eye not able to do that? If the object is far away the lens could just bend a bit and there would be perfect vision. So why is the Myopia eye able to adjust its scaling but the Hyperopia seems to be unable to do that. Or is my explanation of why Myopia patients can see close objects wrong?
