I know that the primary way that CO2 leaves the body in a healthy human is through exhalation. Is there any other way in which CO2 leaves the body? I think the only other way is through burps and farts since CO2 is a gas and the only places in the body which contain gas are the lungs, stomach, and intestines, which account for all three ways (exhalation, burping, and farting). Does CO2 really leave the body through burps and/or farts? Is there any other way that I didn't account for by which CO2 leaves the body?
