A field of biology focused on the study of the animal kingdom. Includes study of, but not limited to, natural history, ecology, anatomy, physiology, ethology (behavior), embryology, distributions, classification and evolutionary biology. Questions should explicitly seek answers on the biology of animals.
Zoology is a very broad field, so more focused tags should be included when using the zoology tag. Commonly paired tags with zoology include species-identification, anatomy, physiology, ecology, ethology, and genetics.
The study of specific animal groups also typically have dedicated tags: mammals ornithology arthropods (entomology/arachnology) herpetology ichthyology invertebrates
