Dec 11, 2016 at 22:27 | comment | added | David | I don't know what this question was before editing, but it seems nothing to do with evolution and good traits and bad traits. It is about the chemistry of DNA and RNA and so is quite valid in that context. I shall edit out the traits stuff and ask you evoutionists to leave this as a molecular biochemistry question.

Why I believe this question is different from Why do some bad traits evolve, and good ones don't?

This is also an opinion-based question because it is asking about a hypothetical situation. From the help center, avoid asking subjective questions where … you are asking an open-ended, hypothetical question: “What if ______ happened?” We expect answers to be based on verifiable facts and references, along with subject-related expertise. While this is an interesting question, unfortunately it is off-topic.

Dec 11, 2016 at 7:54 | comment | added | another 'Homo sapien' | Welcome to Biology.SE! One thing that needs to be made clear at once is that evolution doesn't work to make things perfect, if something works, it is okay even if it can be improved. Yes, DNA works as genetic material for higher organisms, but RNA is useful too for temporary things like transcription.
