1$\begingroup$ The premise of your question is wrong. This pedigree can very well be explained also with the autosomal recessive inheritance, and there is no way of knowing whether it is autosomal recessive or X-linked recessive purely from this pedigree. $\endgroup$– DomenCommented Mar 17 at 19:21

1$\begingroup$ @david can you say in which part you can't understand the question? I can clarify 😇 $\endgroup$– Sanjay SCommented Mar 18 at 14:57

1$\begingroup$ @SanjayS, try it yourself! Write down the genotypes, and you will find out that the pedigree can be explained by either of the two aforementioned inheritance patterns. $\endgroup$– DomenCommented Mar 18 at 15:15
