I'm an Adjunct Associate Research Scientist with the University of Arizona School of Natural Resources and the Environment and an Associated Researcher with the UA Herbarium. Since 1984, I've been conducting a pheonological study of the flora of the Finger Rock Canyon watershed in the Santa Catalina Mountains, Pima County. Over 600 plant taxa in six vegetative communities over an elevation gradient of more than 4100 feet have been observed during over 1650 data collection trips in 35 years. The database for the study includes over 256,000 observations. Eleven papers utilizing the data collected have been published in scientific journals. The flora and a summary of phenological data was recently published in Desert Plants. I'm also an author of the Tucson Mountain flora and was a contributor to the Arizona Rare Plant Field Guide.
